Channel 5 News in Brownsville, Texas is reporting that the federal government has contracted to purchase a $50 million luxury resort to provide accomodations for illegal immigrant children. The Palm Aire Hotel And Suites will be sold to Baptist Child & Family Services that will operate it under a federal contract. The plan is to have the hotel ready by October for illegal immigrant children ages 12 to 17.
The hotel amenities include two outdoor swimming pools, saunas and jacuzzis, a steam room, racquetball and tennis courts, and a fitness center. The average stay at the complex for an illegal immigrant child is expected to be fifteen days. There is no information about whether or not there will be a Glenn Beck suite at the resort.
